Look at any other poll regarding Walker and/or the budget repair law on this site. The vote totals don't come anywhere near the totals on this one. Obviously this poll has been hijacked by people making use of the private browser window which masks your computer's ip address thus allowing you to vote as many times as you like. Obviously both sides have been doing this, but the GOPers seem to have much, much more free time on their hands.

I will resist the temptation to try again, as I would not want to unfairly skew the vote away from the TEA party members here who become very cranky if they don't get their way.
Actually, they are fairly cranky when they do get their way.
Go figure.

Scooter: Need to know what union you are in that only charges $24 per year so I can join it. The union I am in charges 2 hours pay as dues per month. So does the union my wife is in. Also if there is any profit sharing check (not for years) or any contract signing incentive bonus, the union also takes 1% of that. So unless you only make a dollar an hour, you are really paying cheap dues.

Ronald, it's not the teachers dumming America down.... it's ignorance that's doing it. "Reality" a.k.a. common sense and principle have been compromised and replaced by fake reality... garbage media, video games, publications, social networking (such as "FAKEBOOK") texting as opposed to talking....I could go on and on. Fact is, most people are aware of it, it's just that most don't want to deal with it because it's just too tough. The truth is, we're reaping what we've sown and it's happened on your's and my watch.

I do not stand to benefit one iota. I will agree that are some places where a person will be rewarded for their work, but I believe that is few and far between. In my opinion, that is the not the norm. I think that more workers will be exploited and not be treated fairly because of the bill. I do not see Walker as having the best interest of most Wisconsin citizens at the heart of the matter. I believe he is bought and paid for, and that he is being told "how to govern" the state of wisconsin.

Most people think that it will save money by stopping some of the unreasonable demands by the unions. Many of the union demands seem to be driven by financial gain. Most of the workplaces are very safety focused, so they have nothing more to thrive on except the financial gain of their members by shorter hours, less oversight by management, more sick leave, more holiday's, less productivity, more assurances that their positions will always be there, more flexible work hours and attempting to take over control of the company. This comes at a cost to the consumer whether it be at a grocery store or a taxpayer.
If you do not feel that the state will save serious money by limiting collective bargaining, you must be out of touch with reality. Why do you think the unions are fighting this so hard? Do you really think it is for the non-monetary benefits?

Because Janesville GM happened to make gas guzzling SUV's when the worst recession since the Great Depression hit, and gas jumped to $4+/gallon. Total auto sales dropped by 30+% in less than a year. Non-union plants closed too.

Our country needs these folks..teachers, firefighters, police, nurses, doctors, the list goes on. Why should we deny them what they rightfully earn? Could you do their job? I am sure I could not. I feel for every last one of them, union or not. Read the paper, this is not only going to affect the unions, it will also affect nonunion. Wait, it will come down to everyone, even you!

Ronald, I do not see many posts that are even talking about the unions nor supporting the unions. The union piece was passed in separate legislation. Well, we could keep paying everyone and bankrupt the state, that obviously would be better. We could stick it to businesses and corporations until they leave for greener pastures, that obviously would be better. This dreamland that the opposition is in, it sounds nice. Keep on spending money we don't have and hope it magically gets solved.
The reality of paying the bills with the means we have available is far too prosaic to be anything but an assault on everything we hold dear.

Here is a brief summary of Mr. Walker’s political goals (to summarize: “He had three primary goals: 1) to break up the unions (public and private) in order to deliver Wisconsin for the pro-corporate (anti-American worker) Republican party, 2) to legislate huge corporate welfare tax breaks for those who put him into office and to whom he must now re-pay with “favors”, and 3) to reduce taxes…NOT for the middle class (those taxes are going up per the State Fiscal Budget Bureau) but for the wealthy, and for himself”) and after being “out-voted” by 10 to 1. Now who is remembering any of this?????

This governor is merely a puppet that is orchestrated by the Koch Brothers to rid states of union support of the democratic party. It is a sad day in Wisconsin when this governor can ram through his extremist agenda of corporate pay backs while robbing the middle class, handicapped, elderly and kids of this state. Hopefully the frustration and disgust for this governor will energize Wisconsites to take back this state through recall elections.

This is in an e-mail I received this morning from my State Representative: "We keep hearing this budget is all about shared sacrifice, but the fact is it unfairly shifts the burden onto the backs of middle-class families, raising their taxes by $69 million and fees by $111 million while creating $328 million in new business tax breaks." Unfortunately, the tax breaks for businesses are not creating jobs in Wisconsin, and by stripping the middle class (who are making less than they did 10 years ago)of more of their hard-earned money, they will have less money for essentials like food, shelter, clothing and health care.

When this bill targets our representative's pay, pension and perks also, then my opinion would probably change. When our representative's do NOT speak of giving big corporations more in tax-cuts while widdling away our wages and benefits, then my opinion would probably change. When our representative's quit wasting tax-payer's money away on foolishness, then my opinion would probably change. I do not like our representatives to live high on the hog while they put everyone else's future on the burner.
