Now all stations are pricing the same as gas is a commodity and they all have markups dictated by law. In Janesville today, just about all are priced at $2.39. I'm ready for another "gas war".
For a short period of time - but it will balance back out. The consumers probably won't see a change because Wisconsin will need to add additional funding for DOT projects that the current gas tax can't pay for.
If the mandatory dual walled underground fuel storage tanks didn't close the small gas stations, then they'll survive the minimum markup repeal...

How does it raise prices?
Regional chains can pick and chose which town to lower prices, drive out local gas stations, then raise prices higher than before.
Worked well for Standard Oil.
