I'm sorry, but after living in Wisconsin for my entire life and seeing what I have seen, I don't believe for a second that there is such a thing as global warming.

You mean 150 years of weather records isn't representative of millions of years of weather patterns??? Now that just makes NO sense...

As a "Janesville amateur meteorologist", while I'm certain that they are much smarter in wherever NVgrf lives, here in southern Wisconsin some of us noticed that thirty years ago, the prevailing theory of the time of the "overwhelming majority of the scientific community" was that we were entering the beginning stages of a new ice age. Furthermore, we've noticed that weather records span only less that the last 150 years. Those records have only been kept in very few places concentrated mostly in North America and Europe until recently, hardly a representative sample. Most of those "overwhelming majority of the scientific community" depend on government grants for their income and, therefore, the more dire their predictions, the greater the need for government grants, which get richer with every new issue. So, pardon my skepticism, but I need more proof than what little has been offered that global warming is anything more than the natural weather cycle that it appears to be.

Seabee......the hippy was correct. The overwhelming majority of the scientific community say that one of the major results of GW are erratic weather conditions. Extreme hot to extreme cold. Extreme dry to extreme wet. I guess I will have to go with the scientists as opposed to the Janesville amateur meteorologists.

The old-timers used to say that March roared in like a lion and went out like a lamb, so I guess we should wait and see.

How nice it's light at 6:08 on easter, it's dark as hell when I get up in the moring at 5:30. Who needs longer days, so I can shovel my snow or fall on my butt on the ice and snow .Have to love this wonderful FROZEN TUNDRA, and you Packer fans wonder why Favre left.!!

Dearest mymaro: your math is as off as your noodle; but that doesn't stop dingbats from swinging. You can't tell a poster from a pundit, and I haven't noted a single informative, future-thinking thing among your 195 posts to date - thy self righteous piehole interminably rattles on, with cognition nowhere apparent.

Is it possible that daylight savings being early affected everyone???? It's still light out at 6:08 on Easter Sunday.

Those who believe in global warming need to go back into the history of our weather and realize it's just another weather cycle from the past. This winter proves it.

I care about the Environment and I believe that there is such a thing as global warming and I wish more people would realize that and start taking action. If that makes me a tree hugger than I’m proved to be considered one!!

Does mymaro have nothing to do but sit around making self-righteous nasty comments about people? Certainly has treated us to bushel loads of wisdom, and with all the cutesy labels - tree hugger, burger flipper - too. Wish I were that magnanimous and clever.

Seabee: That must have been some really old guy. There are no more hippies. Now they are politically correct green people.

Love the idiots who comment upon the validity of Global Warming based upon one winter in their own particular area. Check the rest of the world before you base everything upon Janesburg Wisconsin.

EB- On or around March 21st. This year, it was 05:48 UTC, 3-20-08.
pablo- Global warming is based on facts. Erratic weather patterns are just part of what's happening because of global warming.
