The aquatics facility is a non issue. All they have to do is look at Madison's pool that went in. That pool hasn't made a dime yet. They just need tax incentives for the downtown. People will want to put a business down there if they get something in return. The downtown could be a great place if they would just work on it.

Before our community can go forward on any issue, there should be a good working relationship between the community and it's government. For the most part, this is true. There will always be the chronic complainers because this is the way they choose to see life.

I was thinking the other day how great it would be . If the city could buy some run down homes in the forth ward area. Rehab them and then sell them back to low income familys. It would be a great way to stimulate Janesville economy. Plus it would help low income families to develop credit as clean up the worst area in Janesville. I think to much time is spent on the downtown issue. There are so many other issues that should be addressed before trying to get people going downtown. How about trying to get more jobs in Janesville? Maybe then people would have money to spend at shops in the downtown. Thats just my 2cents

I would like to see the city put forth the effort to help the west and south side of Janesville prosper. We have much focus and resources going to North(milton ave) and Downtown. We need to balance our town as a whole.

I would like for the city stop worring about where to spend money. We need to quit treating the city budget as if has an endless supply of cash. I am sick of hearing about the city proposing more services that it should not be involved in if the private sector thought that their was a market for those services they would already be providing them. At a lower overall cost then then city ever could.

Look where we as a city can save money. I'm certain we could find areas of wasteful spending in the overall running of the city. The citizens of Janesville have dug deep into their pockets over the last several years. I know to run a city it takes $$ but careful planning and contolled spending goes along way with keeping taxes down...

I'd like to see City Council members maintaining a higher visibility in the community. Seeing them take a more active role in issues around Janesville instead of just making their appearance on TV when the City Council meetings are aired.
