Bow season - 1/2 hr after sitting in his tree stand, my husband got this buck from the tree line behind our farm. We wanted to see how our 3 yr old Appaloosa mare "Feather" would respond to a new "job" of pulling a deer back home. She passed with flying colors!

My deer was taken in the rural Cashton area, 11 am opening morning. Previous to this I had passed up on three bucks; a 7-point, a (nice) 8-point and a forkhorn. We practice deer management on our
land, with hopes of harvesting trophy bucks like this one in the future. He has 14-points, an inside spread of 16-1/2" and weighed 210 pounds after field dressing. This is the biggest deer I've seen and
shot in my lifetime and definitely worthy of mounting! Mark Miller, Janesville.

feet of him before he we noticed each other. He took 3 steps and stopped and I fired 1 shot to bag this nice 11 pointer which dressed out at roughly 240 pounds. Happy Birthday to me!

I am 81 years old and still bowhunting (crossbow now)from my 15 ft ladder stand. I got this deer Nov 15 2007 9 miles east of Janesville.I bought my crossbow in 2000 and have gotten a deer every year since, MY max distance is 30 yards. My son helped me get it in my van. I love the outdoors and have experienced many wonderful things, doe playing with turkeys, a hawk this year that landed on my stand while I was in it, and the many birds and animals.
