This is what the inside of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Parish in Bremerton, Wash., looked like before Mike Smith renovated it. The multi-million dollar project took 5 1/2 months to complete and was among his most memorable.

Mike Smith struggled with a new design to replace the oval-shaped wall arch in the sanctuary of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Parish in Bremerton, Wash. But he later got the idea to add a column to both sides of the arch to change the shape from oval to this radius and from there everything else fell in place.
