At left, eighth-grader Lauren Perry created a ballerina on pointe using clay, tulle, acrylic paint and hot melt glue. At right, eighth-grader Taylor Springbaum used a light bulb as a base and other recycled items to create this bird sculpture. Both girls are students at Franklin Middle School in Janesville.
