Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle announces Friday, July 17, 2009 that the state will buy $47 million in passenger rail cars from the Spanish train company Talgo to replace aging trains that run between Milwaukee and Chicago. Talgo would be the vendor for train cars for a high-speed rail line between Madison and Milwaukee if Wisconsin gets federal stimulus funds.
