While playing in a match against Madison LaFollette and Middleton, Parker golfer Jennifer Polglaze hit a shot on the par 5 14th hole that went into and stayed in a tree (tiny white dot near top of top photo). After consulting with coaches, Polglaze took a penalty stroke for an unplayable lie and finished the hole.
Photographer's note: In August, I got to see something I had never seen in 30 years of news photography. Parker’s Jennifer Polglaze hit the ball into a tree and it stayed there. While I have never seen it before, I’m sure it has happened to me dozens of times.
