Evansville, WI -- Tara Anne Krake Davis, beloved daughter of Richard and Nancy Krake, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the age of 34. Tara was born July 18, 1983 to Linda Dahl. She came to live with the Krake family when she was 9 years old, and was later adopted. Tara graduated from Evansville High School, the Class of 2001, and briefly attended Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville. Tara’s greatest accomplishments were her daughters Rochelle (10) and Lyric (6), whom she loved with all of her heart. Tara married Joshua Davis on Friday, February 13, 2015.
Tara leaves behind her parents; her husband; her six sisters: Aimee (Mike) Solheim, Bethany (Jeremie) Steindl, Cortney, Meg, Jodi, and Trina (Rick) DiPiazza; 17 nieces and nephews; and Rocky and Lyric’s fathers, Paul Jaworski and Kevin Nunn. She was loved by her Grandma Norma Denner; her aunts and uncles: Jim (Carol), Tom (Darlene), Dianna, Ellen, Mike (Jennie), Mark (Linda) and many cousins. Tara’s birth family includes her Gandma Audry Strand; aunts: Lisa, Lori and Loraine Dahl; and four cousins. She was preceded in death by her birth mom; Grandma Marcella Krake; Grandpas, George Carthew and Arvid Denner; and uncle, Curt Krake. Tara had strong bonds with her parents and sisters, and she knew that she was loved through all of the struggles in her short life. In honor of Tara, please take the opportunity to love and support someone who may be fighting addiction, diabetes, or mental health issues. In the words of Tara, “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations”.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, May 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 312 South 3rd Street in Evansville, WI. Pastors Karla Brekke and Matthew Poock will officiate. The family will be receiving friends at the church on Monday beginning at 10 am. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home Evansville is assisting the family. The family of Tara would like to thank Darcey Bedward APNP, and staff of SSM Health-Dean Clinic Evansville, St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Evansville EMS, Fresenius Kidney Care, and Beloit Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care of Tara over the past 18 months. Most importantly, Tara’s family wishes to thank the faith communities of Cooksville Lutheran Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church for their prayers and continuing support.
