Details for Patsy L. Shipler

Patsy L. Schoville Saunders Shipler was born on December 19, 1936, in Soldiers Grove, WI, the daughter of Fred and Edith Bailey Schoville. She attended school in Soldiers Grove and Clinton, WI. She was formerly employed at Admiral in Harvard, IL, and at the Wagon Wheel Resort in Rockton, IL. She married Cecil Shipler on September 30, 1979. They relocated to Las Vegas, where she was employed by the Park Service at Callville Bay, Lake Mead. She later returned to Wisconsin. Patsy loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She regularly attended the Schoville family reunion in Soldiers Grove, where she was able to enjoy both with her family. She recently moved to Burwood Park in Beloit, WI, where she was able to walk to the river to go fishing with her son and daughter. She also was an avid Brewer fan, and loved to watch them play. Patsy is survived by her five children: Tim Saunders of Beloit, Diana Decarlo, Donna Saunders, Phyliss Hodges (Steve) and Janice Bartlett (Douglas), all of Janesville, WI; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Annie (Bernard) Burwitz, Susan Kane, Sharon (Hoyt) Smith, and Janice Stites; two brothers, Ronald (Ruth) Schoville and Steven (Vickie) Schoville. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil; her parents; two son-in-laws; seven sisters; and eight brothers. Patsy will be greatly missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home & Crematory, 1125 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.
