Janesville, WI -- Maurice Paul Stillmank, 86, of Janesville, WI died Thursday, June 7, 2018, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1931, in Janesville, the son of Marvin and Loretta (nee Berner) Stillmank. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War for four years, stationed in Germany. Maurice married Elda Dain on July 27, 1957, at Saint Mary’s Parish in Janesville. He had been Quality Assurance Director at the Burdick Corporation in Milton, WI, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. In his spare time Maurice enjoyed a variety of hobbies over the years which he shared with his children, including: electronics, gardening, photography, drawing, oil painting and other endeavors including copper-tooled artworks, wine-making, model railroading, glass-blowing, candle-making, watching classic films, and he was an amateur poet.

Maurice is survived by his five children: John (Jean) Stillmank of Madison, Paul (Maggie) Stillmank of Fox Point, Mary (Jeff) Hillmann of Milton, Joseph Stillmank of Waukesha and Anne Stillmank of Janesville; his grandchildren: Caitlin Mary (Steve) Brinker, Daniel Paul, Gabriel Joseph, Samuel Tristan, Teresa Marie Hillmann, Nicholas Paul Jose and Violet Nicole Maria; great-grandchildren: Amare Amir Slaughter, Aniya Marie Slaughter, and Woodrow Paul Brinker; his sisters, Janet Warneke and Rita (Richard) Lynes; and abundant nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; many aunts and uncles; his wife, Elda; his sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Gerard Heing; his brother-in-law, Roy Miskimon; granddaughter, Katharine Mary; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Dain and brother-in-law, John Dain.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m., noon, on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH with Father Tom Marr officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London, WI. Friends may call at St. Patrick’s on Tuesday 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
