Details for John B. Bowen

John B. Bowen, 72, of Edgerton, WI, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Wellington Meadow in Fort Atkinson, with his family by his side. John was born on April 4, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN, to the late Charles and Marie (Gunderson) Bowen II. He was a graduate of Edgerton High School in 1963, and received a bachelor’s degree for Teaching, and continued to seek knowledge by attending classes at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, UW Whitewater, and Milton College. John was a teacher for over 25 years. He loved motorcycles and cars, was an avid reader with an attic filled with books, and had an amazing memory about the things he read about.

John is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Charles and Dorothy Bowen of Edgerton, WI; cousins: Peter Kjaglien of Fergus Falls, MN, Marge Luebke of North East, PA, Gary Bowen of Merritt Island, FL; dear friends: Dick Jordan of Madison, WI, Ned Spangel, Mike Burdick of Janesville, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Edgerton with a short prayer service at 2 p.m. by Rev.
