January 24, 1927 - July 6, 2018

Beloit, WI -- Jacqueline A. Loucks, 91, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at Willow Wick Assisted Living. She was born January 24, 1927 in Janesville, WI, the daughter of Thieren and Gwendolyn (Sweeney) Miller. Jackie’s father was tragically killed in a plane crash in Janesville, WI, when she was 3 1/2. The Great Depression was looming, and her mother was forced to seek work in Chicago and leave Jackie and her brother with their grandparents. When they could no longer care for their grandchildren, they went into boarding schools. We believe this was the beginning of our mother’s unbreakable faith. Jackie graduated from Janesville High School, and attended Milton College before her marriage to Gene Loucks on September 4, 1948. They moved to Beloit, WI, in 1950. Jackie retired from GM/Chevrolet accounting department in 1951, the year their first of eight children were born. She was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a promoter of parochial education. Jackie served on the parish council, Brother Dutton School board, was a member of the Marian guild, and a religious ed teacher. She was a past president of the Beloit Jr. Women’s Club. She was later employed by the School District of Beloit as a teacher’s aide for children with developmental disabilities at the Olympian Center in Beloit. Her main interest and joy was her family.

Survivors include her children: Charlie (Sharon) Loucks of Beloit, Vicki Loucks of Beloit, Vonni (Dan) Ley of Menasha, WI, Veronica (Steve) Adams, Martha Tatge, Jennifer Schindler all of Beloit, and Katy (Jim) Lamberty of Cross Plains, WI; beloved grandchildren: Aaron (Michelle) Adams, Andrea (Bill) Neumueller, Alyssa Tatge, Alana Tatge, Sarah (Michael) Yu, Mark Adams, Leea (Brad) Drescher, David (Kari) Ley, Rachel (Frank) Gretzinger, and Amanda (Jason) Hurley; 12 great-grandchildren with one due in November; one great-great-grandson; brother, Jerry (Ginny) Mills of Janesville, WI; sister, Mary (Dr. Ken) Noller of Shrewsbury, MA; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
