Details for Harry E. Coulter

Harry Edward Coulter, age 76, a longtime Janesville resident, passed away early Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care in Janesville. He was born February 18, 1941, in Poplar Grove, IL, the son of the late Ralph E. & Helen (Butz) Coulter. He married the former Carol Lierman in Clinton, and they had two children together, Brad and Brenda. He later married the former Rachel (Fish) Sanwick on January 22, 1983, at the Church By The Side of the Road in Rockton, IL. Rachel had five children, Ricky, Randy, Vickie, Scott, and Lisa, and Harry loved them as if they were his own. He was a truck driver for Wayne Feeds for over 32 years. Harry was a member of the Teamsters Local #579. He was a “Jack of all Trades”, and was always willing to help anybody with a project! Harry was an accomplished carpenter, and had also built many homes in his years! His skills were especially important and needed after the Belvidere, IL tornado of April 21, 1967 when he helped re-build many homes that were severely damaged or destroyed. He is survived by his wife, Rachel; his seven children: Brad (Lucy) Coulter, of Janesville, Brenda Daniels, of Largo, FL, Ricky Sanwick, Randy Sanwick, Vickie Hovey, Lisa Wheaton, all of Janesville, and Scott Sanwick, of Galesville, WI; his brother, Donald Coulter, of Mesa, AZ; his 16 grandchildren; his 16 great-grandchildren; and by nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Helen; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice and Verlyn Smith, of Muscoda. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating.
