Details for Earl W. Spealman

Earl W. Spealman, of Harvard, IL, was born September 19, 1940 in Oak Park, IL, to Walter I. and Florence Mae (Oldfield) Spealman. He passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Geneva Lakes Manor in Lake Geneva. Earl was an Army Veteran, serving from 1963 – 1965 in Germany. During his time overseas, he was able to sightsee all over Europe. After returning stateside, he married Marcia (Nash) Spealman on September 16, 1967 in Walworth. He worked for Butcher Boy Doors in Harvard for 23 years, as their Foreman in the machine shop. After he retired, he farmed and restored many old trucks, including his 1946 Diamond T, which actually made in appearance in the movie Public Eye. Earl built both the houses he had lived in during his adult life, as well as helped remodel others. He was a member of the ATHS (Antique Truck Historical Society) Earl is survived by his wife, Marcia; son, Karl E. (Kimberly) Spealman; grandchildren, Ethan and Katelyn Spealman; brother, Roy (Kathy) Spealman; and sister, Ethel Mae (Rich) Cairnes. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of prayers at 11 a.m. at Toynton’s Walworth Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth.
