Details for Constance M. Tobin-Garde
Constance M. Tobin-Garde, age 88, of Edgerton, passed away Tuesday at Swifthaven. She was born on October 4, 1929 in Edgerton, the daughter of John and Esther (Farrington) Barrett. Connie graduated from Edgerton High School with the Class of 1943. She married John W. Tobin on August 19, 1950. She was a farm wife, and raised five children. After John’s passing, she married Rex Garde, Sr. on February 27, 2004. Connie was a member of St. Joe’s Catholic Church Mother’s Club, the hospital Auxiliary, and was a 4-H Leader. She was a member of the card club that started at their wedding reception over 50 years ago. She is survived by her children: Jim (Patricia) McClain-Tobin of Edgerton, Diane (Dean) Dorn of Janesville, Virginia (Gregory) Wallisch of Janesville, Chris (Rick) Humphrey of Whitewater, Julie (Brian) Murwin of Waupaca; step-children: Joe, Rex Jr., and Kathy; twelve grandchildren: Jason, Jared, Bryan, Amy, Heather, Clint, Chad, Aaron, Scott, Keri, Jeremy, Kelly; and 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Fran Barrett of Edgerton; sister, Rose Hatlen of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, and her husband, Rex; sister, Jean; and brothers, Paul and Jim. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Father Dave Timmerman officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Edgerton. Visitation time will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Albrecht Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Edgerton, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
