Audrey Mary Brandenburg, age 83, of Whitewater, WI, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Fairhaven in Whitewater, WI. Audrey was born in Milton, WI, on Nov. 3, 1929, the daughter of Bernard and Verna (Sharpe) Marquart. She graduated from Milton High School and attended Milton College for two years. On Feb. 2, 1952, Audrey married Martin Brandenburg. Martin preceded her in death in January 2001. Audrey was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater. She was a former 4-H leader and was a good cook.
Surviving are two daughters, LaDonia (Dean) Kyle of Whitewater, WI, and Mary (Carson) Wackershauser of Lancaster, WI; grandchildren: Brian, Laura, and Jennifer Wackershauser, Dawn (Greg) Hockerman, and Elaine (Rodney) Schultz; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Yvonne Thorp of Milton, WI, and Delores (Del) Maass of Watertown, WI. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin; and a brother, Gordon Marquart.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, Whitewater, WI, 53190, with Rev. Steven Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery, Town of Richmond, WI. Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013, at the FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, Whitewater, until the time of the services.
