Franklin R. Trafford, Mesa, AZ/formerly of Elkhorn, WI and Janesville, WI  (1934 - 2013)

Franklin R. Trafford, 78, of Elkhorn, WI, and Mesa, AZ, passed away (in Mesa) on March 11, 2013. He was the son of the late Roger and Frances Trafford. He was born on June 14, 1934 in Madison, WI. He graduated from Madison West High School and earned BS and MS degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Frank was a US Naval Officer Veteran. While he lived in the Milwaukee area, he was employed as a data processor at AC Electronics. He then moved the family to Janesville where he was the Trade and Industry Coordinator at Blackhawk Technical College, for 20 years. He then finished out his career in education at North Central Technical Institute of Antigo, WI, where he was the Campus Administrator.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret (Metzger); his five children: Kathy (Michael Dustman) of Burlington, WI; Roger (Karen) of Murrieta, CA; Terri Weber (Steve) of Janesville, WI; Mike of Janesville, WI, and Tom of Bonsal, CA; his seven granddaughters who were the light of his life! Also surviving are his sister, Virginia Trafford of Vandalia, OH; and a brother, Allen (Jackie) Trafford of Beach Park, IL.
A rosary will be said at St. George Catholic Church in Apache Junction, AZ, on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Any donations received will be placed in the Frank Trafford scholarship fund. The scholarship monies will be given annually to deserving students at North Central Technical College. Funeral Arrangements in Elkhorn, WI, are pending.
