Janet Mae Wienke, Evansville  (1937 - 2013)

Janet Mae Wienke age 75 died Monday March 11, 2013 at Stoughton Hospital. She was born on August 29, 1937 in Stoughton Wisconsin, the daughter of Melvin and Viola (Luchsinger) Reese. Janet was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was active in ladies aide, the quilting group and headed up the cancelled stamp program sending them to Washington and overseas. She enjoyed gardening, reading, collecting stamps, coins and quilting. She loved talking about her grandchildren and enjoyed the companionship of her dog Andy.
She is survived by her children: Randy (Vickie) Wienke of Brooklyn, Kelly (William II ) Hageman of De Forest, Dan (Angie) Wienke of Evansville; 6 grandchildren: Jeremie (Jessie) Wienke, Stacy (Scott) Norton, Justin and Lauren Hageman, Zachary and Riley Wienke; 4 great-grandchildren: Ann, David and Jacob Wienke, Lilly Norton; a sister, Diane Lappley of Evansville; a brother, Richard Reese of Brooklyn; a brother in-law, John Haakenson of Evansville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Wienke; her sister, Barbara Haakenson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday March 15, 2013 at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH Evansville with Reverend Matthew Poock officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service on Friday at the Church. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church Evansville or Agrace HospiceCare Inc.
