Correna Kay "Cory" Christenson, Sharon, WI  (1974 - 2013)

Correna (Cory) Kay Christenson, age 38, of Sharon, WI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, WI. Cory was born on Oct. 17, 1974, in Elkhorn, WI, to parents, Everette and Marjorie (Lund) Christenson. She was a 1993 graduate of Delavan-Darien High School. She furthered her education by attending Gateway Technical College at Kenosha, WI, where she studied horticulture. She was employed at Pesche's Greenhouse in Lake Geneva, WI, for the past 21 years and was with the Sharon Community School in the daycare center for 12 years. Cory took care of two of God’s greatest gifts, children and flowers. Cory was also a member of the Norsemen of the Lakes Lodge of the Sons of Norway, and a life long member of Christ Lutheran Church in Sharon.
Cory is survived by her parents, Everette and Marjorie Christenson of Sharon; her sister, Carissa, and her husband, Robert Rollins of Shorewood, WI; nephews, Mason and Nicholas Rollins of Shorewood; aunts and uncles: Muriel Lund-Michel of Park Ridge, IL; Mark and wife, Dorothy Christenson of Lake Mills, WI, Ken and wife, Pauline Christenson of Waterloo, WI, Dixie and husband, Jimmy Ripley of Elkhorn, WI, and Cindy and husband, Jeff Dutton of Darien, WI; many cousins; and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ken and Elma Christenson of Walworth, WI, and Melvin and Lorraine Lund of Stoughton, WI.
Services for Cory will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH in Sharon, WI. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at TOYNTON FUNERAL HOME in Walworth, WI. Interment will be in the Brick Church Cemetery at Walworth, WI.
