Thongbay Matmanivong, Janesville  (1938 - 2013)

Thongbay Matmanivong, age 74, of Janesville, died on Monday, March 4, 2013, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. He was born in Laos, on March 5, 1938, the son of Peter and Peang Matmanivong. He served in the military for six years and for 15 years as an officer. In 1980, he brought his family to America, to have freedom in their lives. In America, Thongbay was employed at First Lutheran Church and Frito Lay. He was a leader and dedicated to whatever that he came across.
Thongbay is survived by his wife, Chantha; daughter, Mary; three sons: Hong, Thong and Songsihn; eight grandchildren: Annabelle, Andrew, Brandon, Rocky, Rayne, Sky, Matthew, and Marteena; one great grandchild, Dareon.

He is gone now and will never be forgotten.
