Roy Francis Olin, 71, of Burleson, TX, originally from Janesville, WI, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, in Austin, TX. He was born on Oct. 13, 1941, in Edgerton, son of the late William and Hazel (Ree) Olin. Roy graduated from Janesville High School in 1955. He, then, moved to Texas, and participated in Rodeos throughout Texas. Roy was also a firefighter and worked in the construction industry when he first moved to Texas. Later he owned and operated Burleson Pest Control, Lone Star Chimney Cleaning and a tree trimming business. Roy enjoyed horseback riding, rodeos, calf roping, dancing and riding on his tractor.
Roy is survived by two daughters, Renae (Tom) Molden of Austin, TX, and Angela (Robert) Sabet of New York, NY; three grandchildren: Max Molden, Tyler Boedeker and Katelyn Sabet; two sisters, Carol (Daryl) Zilliox of Janesville, WI, Barb (Richard) Hale of Holman, WI; one brother, Dean Olin of West Union, SC; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at CENTRAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Edgerton, with Reverend James M. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Jenson Cemetery following the Funeral service. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Full Military services will be held at the Cemetery by the Edgerton Memorial Squad.
Roy will be greatly missed by all his friends in Burleson, and Austin, TX, as well as in Janesville, and Edgerton, WI.
