Margaret F. Brewer, Janesville, WI  (1914 - 2013)

Margaret F. Brewer, age 98, of Janesville, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. She was born Nov. 30, 1914, in Parker, KS, the daughter of the late Albert and Carrie Haigh. She married William W. Brewer in 1934, in Kansas, and he preceded her in death in 1969. She and her husband lived many years in the Soldiers Grove and Gays Mills area. After her husband's passing, she moved to Janesville, where she worked as a nurse's aide in the Obstetrics Dept. of Mercy Hospital. After retirement, she worked as a Docent at the Tallman House for the Rock Co. Historical Society. Margaret served twice as the Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, Melvin (Martha) Brewer, of Janesville and William (Susan) Brewer, of Los Angeles, CA; her grandson, Jeff Brewer; her two granddaughters, Jane (friend, Jon) Lagore and Julie (David) Powers; her two great-granddaughters, Emma and Jennifer Powers; and her great-grandson, Evan Powers. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with Rev. David Andert officiating. Burial will take place Monday morning in the Gays Mills Cemetery, Gays Mills, WI. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, Margaret's family would appreciate that memorials in her name be made to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc., 3001 W.
