Beverly June (Davies) Neumann, Butte, MT/Formerly Afton, WI (1930 - 2013)
April 3, 1930 - January 19, 2013
On Jan. 19, 2013, the real "Baby" of the world left us. Given that nickname by her older brother and sisters because of her painfully shy demeanor, Beverly June (Davies) Neumann passed away at the Crest Nursing Home, Butte, MT, due to complications from pneumonia. Babe, the third and last girl, was born in Janesville, WI, on April 3, 1930, to Chester A. and Alice M. (Stiegmann) Davies. She grew up in Afton, WI, where she spent many hours playing in the corn fields, and walking around the Afton Pit. She proudly claimed to have attended the last one room school house in the area.
While Bev's greatest joys in life were her family, she also loved reading, watching television, collecting tea cups from all over the world and elephants. Bev also loved gardening or "playing in the dirt" and proclaimed herself to have an amazing green thumb.
Bev's husband, Donald; parents; and siblings: Clayton (Mike), Gladys, and Marilyn (Lyn) all preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter, Diane (Richard) Crossman; sons: David (Barb) and Jamie (Barb); grandchildren: Ben, Katie, Zach (Christine), Riley, Sara and Tess; and great-granddaughter, Addison. Beverly also leaves behind a special nephew, Dick; other numerous nephews and nieces; and her forever loving brother-in-law, Phil Bridgemen.
Because of her love for animals, donations may be made to the Rock Co. Humane Society in her name. Because of her love for gardening, the family requests you plant flowers or trees together with loved ones in the spring.
Services will be held in the summer at the family plot in Afton, WI.
