June Marie Voge, 72, of Beloit, WI, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in the Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born June 13, 1940, in Belmont, WI, the daughter of Harold and Ruby (Ludlum) Gilbert. June was a 1958 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. She married Wilfred A. “Bill” Voge on Sept. 17, 1966, in the Old Stone Church, Rockton, IL. June was the owner and operator of Chosen Charladies and the Liqueur Emporium. She was more recently employed as a Library Aide by Clinton High School. June was on the planning and zoning commission for the Town of Turtle, and a member of the Clinton Good Time Players, Red Hat Society, and Zonta. She volunteered with the Beloit Hospital Gift Shop, Clinton Middle School, Clinton Historical Society, where she served as secretary, Angel Museum, the Beloit and Clinton Library, and S.M.I.L.E.S. which provides horseback therapy.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Wilfred “Bill” Voge of Beloit, WI; eight children: William (Pamela) Beckes of Oregon, WI, Wayne (Devon) Beckes of Colgate, WI, Warren (Patricia) Beckes of Clinton, WI, Walter (Dawn) Beckes of El Paso, TX, Wes (Molly) Voge of Beloit, WI, Ryan (Catherine) Voge of Waunakee, WI, Douglas (Patricia) Voge of Vero Beach, FL, and Susan Voge of Oconomowoc, WI; grandchildren: William (Tami) Beckes, Nicole (Dwan) Byas, Skye Beckes, Madisin Beckes, Chance Beckes, Amanda (Sean) Hamlin, Ashley Beckes, Heather Witte, Evan Voge, Sam Voge, Nicolina (Dan) Newman, and Christopher Voge; great-grandchildren: Aimee and Lexie Beckes, DJ Byas; Jordan Wyatt, Miranda and Mason Mattke, Nolan Witte, and Ava Newman; two sisters, Peggy Gilbert of Smyrna, NC, and Dorothy Rice of Branson, MO. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Francis Gilbert; and sister, Shirley Townsend.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. Burial will be in Shopiere Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME.
