Patricia Parker Francis, Palm Beach, FL (2013)

Patricia Parker Francis, 86 years old, of Palm Beach, FL, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. Born in Janesville, WI, she was a daughter of Russell C. and Eleanor Jackson Parker and the granddaughter of George Safford Parker, founder of the Parker Pen Company. Mrs. Francis was also preceded in death by her first husband, William B. Murphy; and a brother, George S. Parker, II.
Formerly of Milwaukee, WI, she was a resident of Palm Beach, for over 25 years and enjoyed spending summers in Green Lake, WI. Mrs. Francis was a member of the Milwaukee Country Club, Milwaukee, WI, and the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Ripon College, Ripon, WI. She was also a member of Bethesda-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, The Beach Club, The Everglades Club, and the Sailfish Club of Florida, all in Palm Beach.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert E. Francis of Palm Beach, FL; four children: Bruce Murphy (Sara) of Milwaukee, WI, Nancy Murphy (Steven Rosenberry) also of Milwaukee, WI, Annie Murphy of Denver, CO, and Sally Murphy of East Hampton, L.I., NY; three step children: Mark Francis of Cripple Creek, CO, Kent Francis (Kathy) of Dunlap, IL, and Tod Francis (Bonnie) of Menlo Park, CA; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tom Jeffris of Janesville, WI.
A Memorial Service was held on Jan. 10, 2013, in the chapel at Bethesda-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, Palm Beach, FL, followed by a reception at the Everglades Club.
