Vera Jean Kerrison Wells of Jenkinsburg, GA, passed away on Jan. 3, 2013, of breast cancer at Westbury Medical Care Home. "Jeanie" was born on June 14, 1935, to Lester and Alberta Bellrichard Hartzell. She graduated from Milton High School in 1954. In 1956, she married Wayne Kerrison. He passed away in 1985. In 1994, she married Oscar Eugene Wells, who passed away on Sept. 24, 2012. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church.
Jeanie is survived by her six children: David, Jimmy and Robby Kerrison, Deanna (Kenneth) McIntyre, Leanna (Billy) Sims, and Patty Combs; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Richard (Charlotte) Hartzell, Donald (Joyce) Hartzell and Lester (Barbara) Hartzell; her sisters: Vonnie (Chuck) DeZwarte, Mary Lou (Jim) Whitrock and Linda (Larry) Kufel; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Nill and Marlene Nill; and infant brother, Roger Hartzell.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 8, 2013, at COUNTY LINE BAPTIST CHURCH. Interment was at Locust Grove Cemetery. SHERRELL-WESTBURY FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. College St., Jackson, GA served the family.
