Stanley (Stan) Weber, 57, of Memphis, TN, and a former Janesville resident, died Jan. 7, 2013, at Methodist Hospice House in Memphis, after a yearlong battle with brain cancer. He was born in Janesville in 1955, the son of Charles and Darlene Weber. He graduated from Parker High School, Class of 1973, and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1977, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He traveled the world working for oil and petrochemical companies, including a recent 3 year posting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He enjoyed riding his Harley, gardening, golfing and playing with this grandsons.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Susan (Bergdoll); son, Jon (Kim) of Memphis; and grandsons, Owen and Everett; father, Charles Weber of Janesville; brothers, Steve (Carol) Weber of Wauwatosa, WI, and Stuart (Sandra) Weber of Janesville; in-laws, Gilbert and Arvilla Bergdoll of Janesville; brother-in-law, Larry (Ann) Bergdoll of Janesville; four nieces; a nephew; and many aunts; uncles; and cousins in the Janesville area. He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 612 N Randall Ave, in Janesville. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made in Stan's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Rock County Wisconsin Humane Society or charity of their choice.
