Anthony J. Groell, Footville, WI  (1951 - 2013)

Anthony J. Groell, age 61, of Footville, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, in Janesville. He was born on Sept. 4, 1951 in Berlin, WI, the son of Eugene and Betty (Siex) Groell. He graduated from the Harvard, IL, High School in 1969. Anthony married Nancy Davidson on Nov. 23, 1968 in Harvard. He farmed all his life and was also a machinist. He was a member of Luther Valley Church and served on the Luther Valley Cemetery Board for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Footville; sons: Daniel (Amanda) of Reedsburg, and their children, Paige and Danny, Paul (Kristine) of Neenah, and their children, Emma and Caleb, Martin (Jody) of Osseo, and their children: Abby, Holly, and Jesse; and Jacob (Jill); brother, Thomas; and sisters, Mary and Laura. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joanne and Elizabeth and a granddaughter, Anna.
Memorial services will be held at LUTHER VALLEY CHURCH at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, with Pastor Mary Froiland officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. NEWCOMER-SILVERTHORN CHAPEL ON THE HILL, Orfordville, is in charge of arrangements for the family.
