Jill Mary McNeil, age 73, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at home. She was born in Dubuque, IA, on Dec. 8, 1939, the daughter of Ralph and Eileen (McNamara) Ellwanger. She attended Clark College in Dubuque, IA, and married John “Larry” L. McNeil in Dubuque, on June 10, 1961. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2010. She had been employed as a X-Ray Technician, and later by Century 21 Real Estate, and H & R Block. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, house boating on the Mississippi, Casino’s, watching the Packers, and spending time with her family.
Jill is survived by her three children: Kelli McNeil of Janesville, John L. (Corinne) McNeil, III of Crystal Lake, IL, and Colleen (Gene) Long of Janesville; six grandchildren: Jen (Jake) Reible, Sara Goodsir, Taylor and Lauren Long, Kennedy and Erin McNeil; one brother, Ralph John Ellwanger of Dubuque; and one sister, Ann Victoria Ellwanger of Carmel, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at ST. JOHN VIANNEY CATHOLIC CHURCH.
