Richard "Whitey" Raymond Lewiston, Lyndon Station/Milton, WI (1935 - 2013)

Richard "Whitey" Raymond Lewiston passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center after a long illness. Whitey was born on March 12, 1935, in Milton Junction, WI, the son of the late Ralph and Elmina (Flint) Lewiston, Sr. Whitey attended Milton Jct. Grade School and Milton Union High School. After school, Whitey served his country in the Army. Whitey was a very hard worker who worked for over 35 years at General Motors before retiring to Lyndon Station. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He loved watching the animals on his land: the deer, turkeys, foxes, red, black and flying squirrels, coon, and his old crow. He enjoyed sitting around his campfire with family and friends. Whitey loved having his family around him.
Whitey is survived by his three daughters: Alice (A.J.) Lorentzen of Lyndon Station, Julie (George) Garber and Marcia (Perry) Fischer, both of Janesville; his grandchildren: Amy (Harold) Babcock, Aaron (Amanda) Lorentzen, Mat and Megan Garber, Miranda and Dale Crawford and Ryan and Haley Fischer; great-grandchildren, Baylee and Andrew Babcock; special friend, Rose Clark of Lyndon Station; sister, Bonnie Welch of Janesville; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lewiston of Milton, and Dorothy Lewiston of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ralph "Joe", Robert, and William; a sister, Lenora Cherry; and brother-in-law, Al Cherry.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES, Milton, with Pastor Patrick Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the Milton Cemetery. Visitation times will be Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the FUNERAL HOME.
