Jane M. Martin, Whitewater, WI  (1938 - 2013)

Jane M. Martin, age 74, of Whitewater, died on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at Fort Health Care in Fort Atkinson. The family got great comfort that she got her wings with her daughter by her side. She was born on July 26, 1938, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Eleanor (Siemon) DeBack. She married Raymond Martin in 1975, in Janesville. Jane always cared for others, in her youth she cared for her younger siblings. In the years following, Jane was always caring and concerned for her fellow man. She became an owner, with her husband, Ray, at Ray's 19th Tee Supper Club in Janesville, for many years, and then spent her last years working at Frawley’s Eastsider in Whitewater.
From the time her grandchildren were born she devoted every waking moment to them, enjoying many family trips to northern Wisconsin, where they enjoyed fishing and swimming. In her younger days she was avid Bowler and in her retirement she took great delight in spending time with her husband of over 30 years, Ray, and chatting daily with her brother, John, and special friends, Maryanne, Sarah and Pat.
Jane is survived by her husband, Raymond of Whitewater; her daughter, Bonnie Starck of Milton; her grandchildren, Samantha Starck of Whitewater, and Ryan Starck of Milton; three brothers: John DeBack of Kanasville, James (Mary) DeBack of Coloma, and Dan (Liz) DeBack of East Troy; one sister, Naomi Hawthorne of Brookfield; her extended family: Kathy Harman of Whitewater, Donald Starck of Whitewater, Pat Brellenthin of Milton, Sarah Vietch of Edgerton, and Mary Ann of Lake Geneva; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Roy DeBack; and one sister, Harriett Amdahal.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the OLSEN FUNERAL HOME in Whitewater, with the Rev. Gerald Wendt officiating. Friends may call at the FUNERAL HOME after Noon on Saturday until time of services.
