George Hyke, Jr., Wisconsin Dells/Janesville  (1932 - 2013)

George Hyke, Jr., age 81, of Wisconsin Dells, and formerly of Janesville, died on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center, Janesville. He was born to the late George and Elizabeth (White) Hyke, Sr. on Jan. 13, 1932, in Ashland, WI. He was employed by General Motors in Janesville, until he retired after 30 years. In 1984, George and his wife, Shirley, moved to Wisconsin Dells, where they built their dream home in the woods.
Mr. Hyke is survived by his wife, Shirley Hyke; son, Bruce (Laura) Hyke of DeForest; daughter, Penny (Todd) Johnson of Clearwater, FL; daughter, Laurie (Rick) Krapp of Janesville; and son, Jim (Chris) Hyke of Jefferson; and seven grandchildren. He is further survived by his four sisters, one brother, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and his special deer hunting buddies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers.
