Orval Dale Vierck, Janesville, WI  (1920 - 2013)

JANESVILLE—Orval Dale Vierck, age 92, of Janesville, passed away early Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Rock Haven. He was born on July 15, 1920, in Johnstown Center, Rock County, WI, the son of the late Henry and Menta (Tess) Vierck. Orv was employed as an OTR Truck Driver for many years, and had driven for Gateway Trucking Co. and Neuendorf Trucking Co. until his retirement. He was married to Waymeth "Wendy" Tucker, and she preceded him in death in 1993. He lived in Janesville, up until his retirement, then moved to Grand Marsh, WI. He returned to Janesville, following Wendy's passing. Orv enjoyed hunting in his earlier years. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.
Orv is survived by his four children: Gordon (Sandy) Vierck of Elroy, WI, Janice (Keith) Christianson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Richard (Annette) Vierck of Janesville, and Dennis "D.W." Vierck of Edgerton; his two brothers, Henry Vierck of Stoughton, WI, and Clarence (Hope) Vierck of Milton; his 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Hackbarthand; and his sister-in-law, Irene Vierck.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with Rev. David Brynelson, Chaplain with Agrace HospiceCare, officiating. Burial will take place in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME.
