Christine M. Gestrich, Orfordville, WI  (1953 - 2013)

Christine M. Gestrich, age 59, of rural Orfordville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at her home. She was born in Monroe, on Aug. 5, 1953, the daughter of Albert and Ida (Burki) Cmar and was a 1971 graduate of Orfordville Parkview High School. Christine married Stephen Gestrich on Oct. 14, 1972, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Footville. Together with her husband and two children, she owned and operated Stockbridge Cattle Farm. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and served on its Parish Council. Christine was an active leader in 4-H, and was a member of Rock County Beef Producers and the Angus Association. She was devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Christine is survived by her husband of 40 years, Steve; two children, Stefanie Gestrich and Nathan (Tammy) Gestrich, all of Orfordville; five grandchildren: Cora, Lily, Cassondra, Mariah, and Hailey Gestrich; two brothers, Mark (Debra) Cmar of Larwill, IN, and Greg (Bethany) Cmar of Albany, IN; mother-in-law, Marie Gestrich of Orfordville; numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Stephen Gestrich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at ST. AUGUSTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH, Footville, with Fr. Kevin Dooley officiating. Burial will follow in Plymouth Cemetery, Hanover. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 12 until 4 p.m. at ST. AUGUSTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
