Lois Darlene Keitch, Janesville, WI (1933 - 2013)

Lois Darlene Keitch, 79, of Janesville, WI, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, in the Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born July 12, 1933, on the family farm located on Creek Road, Beloit, WI, the daughter of LeRoy “Red” and Mary (Gilbert) Keller. Lois was a 1950 graduate of South Beloit High School. She married Charles “Chuck” Keitch, Jr. on Aug. 10, 1951. He predeceased her in October 2007. Lois was previously employed by Clara Stones Clothing Shop, WBEL Radio, and WGEZ Radio where she retired as General Manager. She attended Central Christian Church and more recently the Chapel services at Cedar Crest. Lois resided in Winter Haven, FL, from 1996 until 2008, when she returned to Janesville to live at Cedar Crest Assisted Living.
In her younger years, Lois directed plays for the 4H and was a charter member of the American Business Women’s Association. She loved spending time at her cottage on Delavan Lake, where she enjoyed the sunshine, flowers and playing cards. In her final years, she enjoyed ceramics and jewelry making. Lois was a sports fanatic, especially football and the Green Bay Packers. However, Lois’ true passion was spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Keitch of Janesville; three grandsons: Chad Michael (Kelly Gretschmann) Collins of Clinton, WI, Ryan Ross (Cindy Gonzales) Collins of Sharon, WI, and Blake Stephen Collins of Clinton, WI; two great-grandchildren, Braydyn Nicholas Collins and Taylor Paige Beaudin; extended family, Ben and Pat De la Fuente of Sharon; Kelsey Marie McKenzie of Stoughton, WI, and Morgan Beth McKenzie of Milwaukee, WI; other relatives and friends from Florida, Delavan, Beloit, Janesville, Clinton, and the surrounding area. She was predeceased by her grandparents; parents; and brother, Richard LeRoy Keller.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Pastor David Meding, Pastor Joel Otto, and Ken Jones for their prayers; the Beloit Memorial Hospital Third Floor Intermediate Care and E.R. especially Dr. Leo and nurses, Katie, Annette, and Nicole; and all of the staff at Cedar Crest Assisted Living for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, in the CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 2460 Milwaukee Rd., Beloit, WI with Pastor David Meding officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the CHURCH.
