Gail Marie Hornby, Sharon, WI (1959 - 2013)

Gail passed away at home in Sharon, WI, on Feb. 2, 2013. Gail is remembered as a strong willed, courageous, family orientated, outgoing woman, who was loved by most. Gail had a unique and special bond with her family and friends. She not only opened her home, but also her heart to countless foster children and friends. She never allowed anyone to spend the holidays alone. She resided and built her life in Sharon, where she co-owned and operated the coffee cup cafe in Sharon with her mother, Marlyne, from 1988 until 1992. She then owned and operated Jimmy's Gas-N-Go, also in Sharon. In the recent years, she enjoyed being a Scentsy consultant. One of her favorite pastimes was always having extravagant nail designs.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, Michael H. Hornby; children: James Swaney (Violet Roberts), Megan Swaney (Nicholas Tislau), Michael Hornby (Samantha Boivin), Miranda Hornby (Cody Ostick), Adrianna Hornby, Tricia Ferkovic, and Charles Nickles; grandchildren: Trevor Swaney, Layla Swaney, and Alyssa Hornby. She is further survived by her mother, Marlyne (Ehle) Hennig; siblings: Dawn Redenius, Diane (Ken) Hennig Sutton, Doug (Amy) Hennig, Paul (Donna) Hennig, Brian (Elizabeth) Hennig, Mark Hennig, Matthew Hennig, Kelly Kleeman, Christine Hennig, Mariah Hennig, and Desiree Hennig; and best friend, Michele Gauthier. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shanae Hennig; brother-in-law, Bruce Redenius; father, Dale Hennig; and grandmother, Gertrude (Jurgens) Schulz.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday Feb. 6th, 2013, at TOYNTON FUNERAL HOME from 4 until 8 p.m. at 210 Baldwin Street, Sharon, WI. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 228 Martin Street, Sharon WI.
