Richard “Dunk” McKinney, age 77, of Albany, WI, formerly of Brodhead, WI, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home. He was born on Aug. 6, 1935, in Janesville, WI, the son of Wayne and Doris (Bernstein) McKinney. He married Phyllis J. Royce on Dec. 9, 1952, in Footville, WI. Richard had worked for Warner Brake and Clutch Co. of Beloit, WI. He enjoyed ice fishing, playing cards, the Cubs, the Brewers, the Packers, watching old movies and especially, his grandkids.
Richard is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Monroe, WI; five children: Suzi Clark of Albany, Mike (Sue) McKinney of Madison, WI, Kevin (Karen) McKinney of Beloit, Brian (Shari) McKinney of Delavan, WI, and Tim McKinney of Janesville; three brothers: Jack McKinney of Brodhead, Jim (Shirley) McKinney of Grand Coteau, LA, and George McKinney of Clearwater, FL; nine grandchildren; and seventeen
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Bobby Armstrong and Zach McKinney; and two brothers, Bill and Mack.
