Gloria J. Stenberg, 78, of Lake Geneva, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn, WI. Gloria was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Dodgeville, WI, a daughter of Curtis and Marion Jackson Simpson. She was united in marriage to Harry Stenberg on Dec. 21, 1984, in Janesville, WI, and he preceded her in death in Nov. 2005. She was a member of Chapel on The Hill and was employed as a teacher in Janesville, retiring in 1982.
Surviving are her daughters, Suzanne (Hans) Haskins and Christelle (Melvin) Holder, both of Elkhorn, WI; step-daughters, Lynette Stenberg of Beloit, WI, and Leanna Stenberg; sons, William (Jennifer) Wayne of Janesville, and Gregory Wayne of Lake Geneva; three grandchildren: Nicole Holder, Eric Haskins, and Abraham Haskins; and a sister, Elain Reese of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Darlene Schwei.
