Pamela "Pam" Jane Lyle Zink, Cedar Falls, IA/formerly Albany, WI  (1954 - 2012)

Pamela “Pam” Jane Lyle Zink, 58, of Cedar Falls, was granted her angel wings on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Genesis Hospital in Davenport, IA. Pam was born on March 15, 1954, in Monroe, WI, the first blessing to Curtis and Patricia Lyle. She was baptized and raised in the Christian faith at the Church of Christ in Footville, WI. She graduated at Albany High School, class of 1972, where she excelled in cheerleading, band and public speaking. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin– Platteville. During college she met and later united in marriage to Thomas Zink on Jan. 11, 1975, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Platteville, WI. Pam and Tom made their home in Cedar Falls, IA, where Pam worked for Doane Farm Mgt. and then as an accountant for several area businesses.
Pam’s giving nature forever touched the lives of family, friends and strangers. Her free spirited outlook on life found its way into the hearts of many. She found peace in learning the art of Feng Shui and was a licensed practitioner. Pam had a passion for creating beautiful jewelry made from beads and crystals. Those that knew her will never forget her love of anything purple. Pam’s greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Pam will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Thomas Zink; two sons, Michael and Tyson (Ondrea) Zink; granddaughters: Madison, Kenna and Kyra; mother, Patricia Lyle of Janesville, WI; siblings: Kim (Kris) Lyle of Evansville, WI, Val (Rick) Blumer of Albany, WI, Luann Erdman of Belmond, IA, Brad Lyle of Janesville, Paula Lyle of Janesville, Shane Lyle of Waunakee, WI, Cory (Sara) Lyle of Janesville; sisters-in-law, Robin (Jeff) Lyle of Monroe, WI, and Karen (Norman) Mahoney of Sioux City, IA; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter (1976); father, Curtis Lyle; brother, Jeffrey Lyle; brother-in-law, Philip Erdman; father-in-law, Edward Zink; and mother-in-law, Luella Zink.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at DAHL–VAN HOVE–SCHOOF FUNERAL HOME, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls, IA. The family will receive friends during visitation from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to service.
