Betty J. Dransfield, Janesville (1927 - 2012)

Betty J. Dransfield, age 85, of Janesville, passed away Monday morning, Nov. 26, 2012, at her home. She was born Feb. 19, 1927. in Iron Mountain, MI, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Savord) Floriano. On March 8, 1949, she married David B. "Joe" Dransfield in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1993. Betty worked for Accudyne, and later worked for Seneca Foods (Libby's) until her retirement. She enjoyed fishing, and also very much enjoyed going to rummage sales. She was very skilled at crocheting, and loved giving her creations to family and friends. She loved spending time with her dogs, but her greatest joy was her family! Betty loved being around her children and grandchildren!
Betty is survived by her four daughters: Susan (Bob) Fanucchi of Keller, TX, Diane (Terry) Way of Lincoln, NE, Sandy (Mike) Dobson and Judy (Dennis) LaChance, both of Janesville; her three sons: Alan (Penny) Dransfield of Milton, David Dransfield and Gary (Janice) Dransfield, both of Janesville; her two sisters, Leona Hosking of Iron Mountain, MI, and Bea Messersmith of Riceville, IA; her two sisters-in-law, Everly Miller of Brodhead, WI, and Mary Marsh of Milwaukee, WI; her 13 grandchildren: Tommy, Bryan, Todd, and Kristine McDonald, Denise Way, Chris and Carey Dobson, Anthony and Andrew Dransfield, Carrie Martin, Megan, Hailie, and Laci Dransfield; her 13 great-grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark, in 1966; two brothers, Norman and Wilfred "Bucko" Floriano; and by her sister, Lena Turner.
A Memorial Service celebrating Betty's life will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with Fr. Bill Connell officiating. Private interment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME.
