Leone "Lee" L. Siverly, Janesville/formerly of Milton (1917 - 2012)
February 17, 1917 - November 23, 2012
Leone “Lee” L. Siverly, 95, of Janesville, formerly of Milton, passed away early on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Rock Haven Nursing Home. Lee was born on Feb. 17, 1917, in Ridgeway, WI, to the late Glenn and Cecelia (Christianson) Lindsley, the oldest of four children. She graduated from Linden High School in 1935, and was married to William Lowry on April 28, 1937, until his death in 1961. She, then, married James “Dan” Siverly shortly afterward on June 14, 1966, until their divorce in 1969. Afterwards, Lee met her soul mate, Robert Davis, and spent the rest of her life with him until his death. She worked as a homemaker for Rock County, retiring in 1979. She later received her CNA certification and continued in the health care industry for over 25 years. A longtime Milton resident, she moved to Janesville in 2008, and to Rock Haven in November of 2010. Lee loved to play cards, fish, and hunt and never understood why anyone would use a shotgun instead of a rifle for small game. After retiring, she took trips to Egypt and the Holy Lands, Europe and a Caribbean cruise, but never achieved her life wish to parachute, sail in a hot air balloon, or go to Australia.
Lee is survived by her daughters Sharon (Randy) Turner of Johnstown, and Patricia (Rick) Olmstead of Milton; five grandchildren: Teresa Jewell of Arroyo Grande, CA, Lucas Bingham of Milton, Eli Bingham of Milton, Aaron Jewell of Janesville, and Abby Bingham of Jefferson; five great-grandchildren: Ashlee Louis, Kai Zamora, Makenna Bench and Cole Bench, all of California, and Alexzander Klingbeil of Jefferson; and one sister, Marian Manthei of Janesville. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill and Dan; special friend, Bob Davis; sister, Henrietta Snyder; infant brother, Glenn Lindsley, a daughter, Mary Lowry; and step father, Alex Luczak.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at the ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, MILTON with Rev. Patrick Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the FUNERAL HOME from 5 p.m. until the start of the service. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Memorials can be made in Leone’s name to the Milton Community Action Center.
