Grace Rowley Faber, Evansville, WI  (1914 - 2012)

Grace Rowley Faber completed her 98th year of life on Nov. 19, 2012, and died on Nov. 23, 2012, at her home in Evansville, WI. She was born in Hillsboro, WI, on Nov. 19, 1914, to Robert and Tamma (Shreve) Rowley. She grew up in Magnolia Township, graduated from Evansville High School in 1932, and spent the remainder of her life in the Evansville area. She married Maurice Faber on Oct. 17, 1936. They owned and operated a dairy farm near Evansville, until their retirement in 1977. After moving into town, they spent many years providing community service with Meals on Wheels, church activities and the Care Center. They enjoyed several trips with their family and cherished their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their beautiful marriage of nearly 64 years ended upon his death on Sept. 15, 2000.
In addition to her parents and husband, also preceding Grace in death were all of her eight siblings; son-in-law, Walter Moritz; and several nieces and nephews. Grace is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Moritz of Fort Atkinson, WI; grandchildren: Lara (Todd) Ummelmann of Kansas City, MO, Traci (Stephen) Vitale of Edina, MN, Keith (Heather) Moritz of Fort Atkinson, WI; great-grandchildren: Tanner and Kathryn Lehmann, Anna and Julia Vitale, and Vaida and Walter Moritz; sister-in-law, Marvel Rowley; nieces: Jan (Everett) Gutzmann, Susan (Mark) Johnson, Laurene Keech, Ruth Rostowfski, and Marlene Scherer; and nephews: Robert (Robin) Larsen, Ken (Nancy) Rowley, Ric (Kelli) Rowley, and Roger (Dee)Rowley; and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at the WARD FUNERAL HOME, 130 South 5th Street in Evansville, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27th, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the United Methodist Church, 21 South Madison Street.
