James Schneider, Watertown, WI  (1920 - 2012)

James Schneider, age 92, of Watertown, died on Nov. 13, 2012, after a short illness. James farmed in Rock County for most of his life. He was born on April 13, 1920, in Hampshire, IL, to Mabel Ann (Dow) and Henry Schneider. He married Gladys Sabin on Dec. 31, 1941. James and Gladys moved to Wisconsin to farm in 1959, and were involved with agriculture his entire life.
James is survived by his wife of 70 years, Gladys Schneider of Watertown; children: Carl (Gladys) Schneider of Milford, MI, Richard (Kim) Schneider of Orfordville, Donna (Dale) Staude of Watertown, and Diane (Phil) Austin of Catoosa, OK; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mabel (Sally) Allen of Seward, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, H. Warren Schneider; and two sisters, Eleanor Bennett and Ruth Zenk.
A memorial service will be held at EMERALD GROVE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, 8127 Hwy 14, Janesville, on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at 11 am. Burial to follow at the Emerald Grove Cemetery.
