Dolores J. Balke, Edgerton, WI  (1930 - 2012)

Dolores J. Balke, age 82, of Edgerton, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at the Edgerton Care Center. She was born Feb. 8, 1930, in Neenah, WI, the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Johnson) Springborn, Sr. Dolores married Roberts Balke Feb. 14, 1953, in Oshkosh, WI.
Dolores worked for a number of years as a telephone operator for Western Union Telephone Company. She also work at Handy Bill's Roundy store, The Edgerton Reporter, and as a bus driver for Burns Bus Company. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school and confirmation. She was a member of the hospital and fire department auxiliary. She was a great cook and loved to sew, knit and quilt. She sewed many doll clothes and also made many of the dolls.
Dolores is survived by her children: Richard (Pamela) Balke of Madison, William G. Balke, James R. Balke, and Elizabeth Balke, all of Edgerton, WI; grandchildren: Christopher (Diann) Balke, Timothy (Kasia) Balke, Sylvia (Jeremy) Mohrhardt, Jennifer Mulryan, Jonathan (Ashley) Mulryan, James Vierck, and Patrick Vierck; great grandchildren: Viveka, Miles, Hanna, Ben, and Abby; brother: Robert (Ruth) Springborn of Oshkosh, WI; sisters, Joann Kunde of Oshkosh, WI, and Jackie Felch of Wallace, MI. Besides her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Roberts; a daughter, Susan Mulryan; a great-grandson, Jacob Mohrhardt; two brothers, George and Richard Springborn; and a sister, Mary Schaefer;
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at CENTRAL LUTHERAN CHURCH with Pastor Jason Chesnut officiating. Visitation time will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the CHURCH. The ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATION SERVICES, LLC EDGERTON is assisting the family.
