Mary A. Leonard, 94 of Lake Geneva, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Geneva Lake Manor Nursing Home. Mary Alice (Bray) Leonard was born in Elkhorn, WI, on July 4, 1918, to the late Wallace and Flora (Murdoch) Bray. Mary was a graduate of Delavan High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to the late William J. Leonard on the 5th of May, 1939, in Dubuque IA; he preceded her in death on June 28th, 1988. Mary loved to laugh and play cards. She loved her flowers and watching the birds outside.
Mary is survived by three children: Mary Lou (Phillip) Esmond of Lake Geneva, Joyce (Leland) Schmidt of Lake Geneva, and William T. (Geri) Leonard of Lake Geneva. She is survived by 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, John Bray; and a sister, Rachel Laursdorf. Mary was preceded in death by a son, Ronald W. Leonard; her parents; two sisters, Ruth and Elizabeth; and one brother, William.
Services for Mary will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the CHAPEL OF THE DERRICK FUNERAL HOME at 800 Park Dr. in Lake Geneva. The Reverend Jim Kennedy will be officiating, with burial to follow in the Bloomfield cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. in our CHAPEL.
