Leroy E. "Bud" Ide, Edgerton, WI  (1930 - 2012)

Leroy E. "Bud" Ide, 82, of Edgerton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 10, 1930, in Edgerton, son of the late Harvey and Geneva (Lawrence) Ide. He was united in marriage on June 13, 1953, at Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton, to Lucy Clair Holtan. She preceded him in death on Aug. 12, 2012. He was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton.
Bud had worked at Dana as an inspector and was the first Union President. He enjoyed traveling, their Euchre card club, golfing, watching the Packers and helping Lucy at her Tax return business. He was an engineer in the United States Marines during the Korean War, a member of the VFW, the Edgerton Memorial Squad, Post Commander and for over 50 years a member of the Color Guard and Quartermaster.
Bud is survived by one daughter, Mary Sue Wilson; one son, John (Donna) Ide, both of Edgerton; two grandchildren, Corinna Wilson and Seth Ide; one great-granddaughter, Emma Wilson; one sister, Marilyn Uhlir of Rockford; nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at CENTRAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Edgerton, with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Milton Lawns Memorial Park and Chapel, Janesville. Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the EHLERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, US HWY 51 S, Edgerton, from 4 until 7 p.m., and at the CHURCH on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
