Lisa Ann Saxer-Buros, Janesville (1957 - 2012)
June 10, 1957 - November 2, 2012
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so.
Lisa passed on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. She was at home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 10, 1957, to Madelyn (Lyn Davis) and Johnny Saxer. Lisa remained a lifelong Janesville/Milton resident. Always considered “the darling of the family,” she was the youngest of four children. She attended Parker High School, and graduated in 1975. Lisa married Tom in 1979, and they had a storybook love affair. She passionately loved and nurtured her husband, two children, family, large circle of friends, and all animals. Her home was often the gathering place, and all were enriched by their time spent there. A compassionate and bright businesswoman, Lisa began Madelyn Company with her life-long friend, Joni Cullen in 1992. The business has grown to provide comfort to bereaved worldwide. The day before Lisa passed, Madelyn Company was presented with the Giving Spirit Award by the Y.W.C.A. Her humble generosity was a reflection of how she lived and gave in her life. Lisa was born an “old soul,” with the sparkling spirit of a child, and will continue to be a blessing to us all.
Lisa’s legacy continues through her cherished family: husband, Tom; daughter, Gabrielle (Brooks) Graff; son, Hutton Buros; father, Johnny Saxer; two sisters, Valerie Saxer and Sherry Saxer, all of Janesville; brother, John Saxer, Jr. of Florida; sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Jim) Kleyman of Florida, and Camille Buros; nieces: Allegrea S.B. Rosenberg, Ravelle S. Rosenberg, Lindsay (Ryan) Micklus, and Hayley Kleyman; nephews, Jake S. Rosenberg and Paul Kleyman; her beloved furry family includes: Baby, Big Guy, Ritty Tat Tat and Max.
Lisa has gone on to join her outstanding mother, Lyn Saxer; father-in-law, Harris Paul Buros; mother–in-law, Beverly (Boughton) Buros; and many close friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 313 Wall St., Janesville, and a Celebration of Lisa’s Life will be held at The Armory, 10 S.
