Robert "Bob" W. Knutson, Beloit, WI  (1940 - 2012)

Robert “Bob” W. Knutson, 72, of Beloit, WI, went to be with his Lord and Savior suddenly on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, in Beloit Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born Feb. 6, 1940, on the family farm in Clinton Township, WI, the son of Earl and Cora (Hagen) Knutson. Bob was a 1960 graduate of Clinton High School. He married Sidley Howard on March 14, 1961. in Dubuque, IA.
Bob was a hard worker and very dedicated. He was employed by Durst Division of Regal Beloit for 52 years, retiring on June 6, 2012. Bob was an avid sports fan who played softball until he was 50. He always enjoyed basketball, baseball and football. He was also a wonderful husband, dad and grandpa, who loved his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their many activities. Bob was confirmed at Jefferson Prairie Church. He was a former member of Shopiere United Methodist Church and now attends Central Christian Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Sidley Knutson of Beloit, WI; four children: Robert “Brian” (Marcia) Knutson of St. Charles, IA, Suzanne (Jeffrey) Bauer of Richland Center, WI, Kathleen Knutson of Beloit, and Jacqueline (Stephen) Revels of Beloit; eight grandchildren: Benjamin Knutson, Kelsey (fiancé, Matthew Ritchey) Knutson, Katelyn Knutson, Steven Bauer and Nicole Bauer, Natalie DiChiria, Olivia Revels and Grant Revels; two sisters, Claire Hottmann of Mazomanie, WI, and Lois (Bruce) Douglas of Avalon, WI; sister-in-law, Beulah Knutson of Beloit, WI; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; three sisters: Jean Ligman, Evelyn Butteris and Joyce Royston; and two brothers, Albert and Earl Knutson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 2460 Milwaukee Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor David Meding officiating. Burial will be in Shopiere Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road. Beloit, WI.
A memorial will be established at a later date.
